A Red Stitch TheatreProduction "A vicious dog, a fart and a pulsating pimple....This is how the day begins..." Lindsay Schwietz
Red Sky Morning is a lyrical exploration of dislocation and the need to connect told through the experience of a father, a mother and their teenage daughter in the course of one life-changing day.
Tom Holloway's surprising seriously inventive new play is a funny, moving and sometimes shocking ride through the interiors of their minds. The play confronts head on the impact of depression and isolation in regional Australia, as identities are explored through humour, warmth and ultimately heartbreak.
"PLAY OF THE YEAR ... succeeds on every level ... Tom Holloway's script is tight and frequently heart-rending ... a complex, urgent production that deserves to live on". SUNDAY AGE
