Detlef is a self taught artist and photographer residing in Murray Bridge. Over the last five years his focus has been towards abstraction.

His palette mainly consists of primary and some secondary colours, sometimes thick and textural applied coarsely and scratched back, other times poured on to the canvas allowing the paint to flow together as it dries.

His prints are also abstractions either derived from photography or directly constructed via computer.
